BOOKS ALIVE!© English Consultant Alayne Ozturk BA (Hons), PGCE., MA (Education) Senior Lecturer in Education, Head of English. Alayne has taught in a variety of schools both in Britain and in Turkey. Her responsibilities have included being a SENCO, shadow English co-ordinator and co-ordinator for EAL. She was a member of the senior management team in her last school with overall responsibility for a variety of year groups. Alayne is currently head of the English department for initial teacher training, and manages the budget. She teaches core and main study English, and has supervised students undertaking higher education dissertations. Alayne is a member of the internal moderation team for the School of Education, and is a key member of the School Partnership Committee and the Research Committee. She is a member of the Association for Literacy Research and Teaching, the United Kingdom Reading Association, the National Association for Teaching of English, and the National Centre for Language and Literacy. |
